The man who was seen kicking a dog during a pet show said he was defending his dog from the other canine's attacks.
Lee Kong Hoong, 51, said he was warding off attacks from the dog while trying to reclaim his dog from the fray during the Pet Fiesta Expo at the Setia City Convention Centre in Setia Alam on Saturday. He said "Say someone else's dog was about to attack your child, your baby that you're holding. This is the same thing," he said.

The organisers of Pet Fiesta Expo 2017 have sent a letter of complaint to the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS.gov.my) who may open an investigation into this matter. Previous complaints about Lee Kong Hong’s unsportsmanlike behaviour during competitive dogshows were not acted upon by the Malaysian Kennel Association (MKA).

the border collie’s owner was in the wrong. His dog was giving the GSD a hard stare from the start. There was obviously going to be a fight and the owner just didn’t pay attention. And neither did the judges. As for the kick, it wasn’t that hard. But one thing I would like to know, where did the Jack Russell come from?

  10. Only stupid dogs. All dogs need to be kept indoors not in competition. Otherwise none of these would happened. All is about monies so that a champion breed fetch higher.
If you have been chased or bitten by a dog , you will understand.

    • Lindsay Bray I do not know which country you are from . A couple of years ago in Malaysia there was a elderly man went for a morning jog and he was bitten to death by a dog. Dog is an animal and has an instinct of an animal that is why it is not called an human.

Actually, I have been chased – and bitten – by a dog, and no, I don’t understand your point. If you run from a dog, it thinks it’s a game, so of course it’s going to chase.

Dog bites rarely happen out of the blue, “unprovoked” – most of the time, if a dog bites, it’s because subtler body language signs such as lip licking, lip curling, stiff body posture and growling are all ignored – or worse the dog is told off for it (especially growling or snarling), leaving the dog with no other option but to escalate to a bite,

  11. Which training school is he from?

    • Interesting. Thank you.

EAGLELAND K9 Academy, Jalan Padang Tembak, Ipoh.
Two days after he was named in a news report, Lee Kong Hong shut down the Facebook account of his business name, Eagleland K9. The business office phone number is: +6012 503 3322. Probably disconnected by now.
